95% Un-Oaked Chardonnay
5% Muscat Canelli
Like most Chardonnay-based wines, this wine pairs well with chicken, seafood, shellfish, and anything with buttery or creamy sauces. It also pairs very well with salads and fruity desserts. Try with Provencal roasted chicken with honey and thyme; chicken salad contessa; pan-seared Pacific halibut or cod over almond, apricot, ginger and orange zest couscous; or a sweet cream cheese fruit tart with strawberries, blueberries and kiwi.
Inviting fruit aromas of ripe peaches, melons and pineapples accompanied by faint notes of blossoms, honeysuckle and ginger spices. Even though the Muscat Canelli only comprises 5% of this wine, its aromatics famously go a very, very long way.
The Chardonnay is responsible for the ginger aromas as well as the citrus notes of pineapple, but the Muscat Canelli adds the floral notes of honeysuckle and the deep, rich aromas of peaches and melons.
